Together for Health (Juntos pela Saúde, in Portuguese) is an initiative of the National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES), managed by Institute for the Development of Social Investment (IDIS), developed in the North and Northeast regions of Brazil.
In 2025, the project reached a decisive stage of consolidation and implementation, operating in 64 municipalities in the North region, 298 municipalities in the Northeast region, and 12 projects simultaneously under execution.
The year also marks the achievement of 72.9 million BRL invested, 4,167 healthcare units benefited, 20,731 pieces of equipment distributed (including healthcare, IT, and furniture equipment), 17,545 direct beneficiaries, and 9.7 million indirect beneficiaries. By 2026, the program is expected to reach 113 million BRL in investments.

About the Projects Implemented in 2025
Among the projects currently underway, Tributaries expanded national prenatal care and hypertension control protocols to six municipalities in western Pará, including the development of clinical guidelines and the training of Primary Health Care (APS, in Portuguese) professionals. CARDIO strengthened cardiovascular care in municipalities across the states of Paraíba, Ceará, and Pará through the implementation of specialized care corners in 386 Basic Health Units (UBS, in Portuguese). Meanwhile, Social Protection Health Cycle supported public management and the qualification of APS teams in 32 municipalities across Pará and Maranhão, totaling 664 training sessions and engaging more than two thousand professionals.
On the technological innovation front, epCertify with Hiperdia Care Pathway implemented digital solutions for monitoring hypertension and diabetes in ten municipalities in northeastern Brazil, benefiting 88 UBS facilities and more than 198,000 people indirectly. Impulso Previne expanded the strategic use of public Primary Health Care data to 243 municipalities across 15 states, supporting active patient monitoring and improvements in healthcare indicators. Complementing this agenda, NoHarm used artificial intelligence to enhance patient safety by analyzing more than 28,000 prescriptions and strengthening clinical management in 341 UBS facilities, including in remote territories.
In the field of health surveillance, the AESOP – Alert-Early System of Outbreaks with Pandemic Potential advanced the epidemiological monitoring of respiratory diseases, reaching 479 municipalities in 2025, with plans to expand to more than 2,000 municipalities across 16 states. SUS in the Amazon established healthcare support hubs in riverside communities in the state of Amazonas, expanding access to in-person care, telemedicine, and dental services.
Focused on comprehensive care, Weaving Threads of Comprehensive Health Care in the Amazon strengthened maternal and child healthcare and the monitoring of chronic conditions in six municipalities in Pará, while the project United for the Elimination of Cervical Cancer expanded HPV vaccination coverage in ten municipalities in Ceará, achieving results above 90% in some of the territories served. Meanwhile, V.E.R. – Vision in Network promoted visual screenings and access to diagnosis in Serra Talhada, city in the state of Pernambuco, using telehealth services and eyeglass donations to reduce barriers to eye care access.
