Presentation and description:
The project Weaving Threads of Comprehensive Health Care in the Amazon will strengthen Primary Health Care, expanding the quality of health care in the Lower Amazonas and Tapajós regions by promoting a more equitable and accessible system for vulnerable populations in the Amazon.
To make this possible, the project will:
– Contribute to governance and articulation with administrators and workers;
– Foster social participation with health councils and community organizations;
– Improve the quality of referrals from Primary Care to Specialized Attention with training, digital technology and telemedicine;
– Incorporate self-care into the chosen lines of care through digital solutions.
Thus, it aims to work on several fronts related to Primary Health Care in order to improve risk stratification and health management for people with hypertension and diabetes, increase the care of pregnant women, especially in areas of difficult access, enhance the quality of care for oral health with tele-dental care and expand access to its services. When it comes to maternal and child health actions, there will be a focus on food security and malnutrition, and the project will coordinate with civil society and government projects to increase sustainability, strengthen communication and dissemination of results to communities, develop applications focused on the needs of users and contribute to the implementation of a telehealth hub in the region.
