<\/h2><div id=\"sp_easy_accordion-1692715424\"><div id=\"sp-ea-351\" class=\"sp-ea-one sp-easy-accordion\" data-ex-icon=\"minus\" data-col-icon=\"plus\"  data-ea-active=\"ea-click\"  data-ea-mode=\"vertical\" data-preloader=\"\" data-scroll-active-item=\"\" data-offset-to-scroll=\"0\"><div class=\"ea-card ea-expand sp-ea-single\"><h3 class=\"ea-header\"><a class=\"collapsed\" id=\"ea-header-3510\" data-sptoggle=\"spcollapse\" data-sptarget=\"#collapse3510\" aria-controls=\"collapse3510\" href=\"javascript:void(0)\"  aria-expanded=\"true\" tabindex=\"0\"><i class=\"ea-expand-icon ea-icon-expand-minus\"><\/i> What is Together for Health?<\/a><\/h3><div class=\"sp-collapse spcollapse collapsed show\" id=\"collapse3510\" data-parent=\"#sp-ea-351\" role=\"region\" aria-labelledby=\"ea-header-3510\"><div class=\"ea-body\"><p>Together for Health is a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bndes.gov.br\/SiteBNDES\/bndes\/bndes_en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">BNDES<\/a> initiative managed by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.idis.org.br\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">IDIS<\/a> that, in partnership with supporting institutions, aims to bring together funds to increase the quality and access to healthcare for the Brazilian population in the North and Northeast regions of Brazil.<\/p>\n<p>By 2026, approximately BRL 113 million in non-refundable funds (50% of this amount through private partners and 50% through BNDES) will be allocated to 14 health projects aimed at benefiting care activities for populations living in these regions of the country, with emphasis on support for primary care services, prevention and screening, and diagnostic support.<\/p>\n<p>For every real donated by other institutions, BNDES has contributed another real, in a matchfunding system.<\/p>\n<p>With these guidelines, the initiative is aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) number 3 (Health and Well-being) and 10 (Reduction of Inequalities).<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"ea-card  sp-ea-single\"><h3 class=\"ea-header\"><a class=\"collapsed\" id=\"ea-header-3511\" data-sptoggle=\"spcollapse\" data-sptarget=\"#collapse3511\" aria-controls=\"collapse3511\" href=\"javascript:void(0)\"  aria-expanded=\"false\" tabindex=\"0\"><i class=\"ea-expand-icon ea-icon-expand-plus\"><\/i> What is BNDES?<\/a><\/h3><div class=\"sp-collapse spcollapse \" id=\"collapse3511\" data-parent=\"#sp-ea-351\" role=\"region\" aria-labelledby=\"ea-header-3511\"><div class=\"ea-body\"><p>The National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES), founded in 1952, is a federal public company linked to the Ministry of Development, Industry, Commerce and Services, being the main instrument of the Federal Government (its only shareholder) for long-term financing and investment in the various segments of the Brazilian economy.<\/p>\n<p>BNDES operates throughout the national territory, from its office in Rio de Janeiro (RJ), its official headquarters in Bras\u00edlia (DF), and regional representations in S\u00e3o Paulo (SP) and Recife (PE).<\/p>\n<p>To fulfill its objectives of impact and social transformation, BNDES has increasingly positioned itself as a coordinator between the capture of different sources of funds and their application in investments and projects of public interest.<\/p>\n<p>To this purpose, it has different strategies to establish partnerships in favor of sustainable development in socio-environmental topics, such as matchfundings, in addition to notices, calls and awards.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"ea-card  sp-ea-single\"><h3 class=\"ea-header\"><a class=\"collapsed\" id=\"ea-header-3512\" data-sptoggle=\"spcollapse\" data-sptarget=\"#collapse3512\" aria-controls=\"collapse3512\" href=\"javascript:void(0)\"  aria-expanded=\"false\" tabindex=\"0\"><i class=\"ea-expand-icon ea-icon-expand-plus\"><\/i> What is IDIS?<\/a><\/h3><div class=\"sp-collapse spcollapse \" id=\"collapse3512\" data-parent=\"#sp-ea-351\" role=\"region\" aria-labelledby=\"ea-header-3512\"><div class=\"ea-body\"><p>IDIS - Institute for the Development of Social Investment is a civil society organization of public interest (OSCIP) founded in 1999 and a pioneer in technical support for social investors in Brazil. In this role, it assumes responsibility for complying with donor and executing institutions, receiving and analyzing health projects presented within the scope of the initiative; account for expenses incurred to BNDES and donor institutions; monitor the application of funds in the projects covered and monitor their results.<\/p>\n<p>IDIS will also be responsible for carrying out public selections or structuring health projects that can be supported, with a minimum value of BRL 2 million. Each of the proposals will be submitted to a committee of health experts and the validation committee, made up of BNDES and other supporters of the Program.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"ea-card  sp-ea-single\"><h3 class=\"ea-header\"><a class=\"collapsed\" id=\"ea-header-3514\" data-sptoggle=\"spcollapse\" data-sptarget=\"#collapse3514\" aria-controls=\"collapse3514\" href=\"javascript:void(0)\"  aria-expanded=\"false\" tabindex=\"0\"><i class=\"ea-expand-icon ea-icon-expand-plus\"><\/i> What is Matchfunding?<\/a><\/h3><div class=\"sp-collapse spcollapse \" id=\"collapse3514\" data-parent=\"#sp-ea-351\" role=\"region\" aria-labelledby=\"ea-header-3514\"><div class=\"ea-body\"><p>Matchfunding is a mixed crowdfunding model, which can combine resources from companies, individuals and public authorities. Its operation is recognized as boosted financing, because for every real donated to a Project, a second donor doubles or triples the value. The minimum value of the projects must be BRL 2 million, with BRL 1 million from BNDES added to the partner\u2019s matchfunding.<\/p>\n<p>The Notice modality involves supporting health projects within the scope of the Initiative through selection through public calls (Notices), whose themes must be approved by the BNDES, with all sources of financial funds considered, before the selection is announced. The minimum support from interested partners for the Notices is BRL 10 million (which added to the BNDES matchfunding will total BRL 20 million, the minimum amount for launching a notice).<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"ea-card  sp-ea-single\"><h3 class=\"ea-header\"><a class=\"collapsed\" id=\"ea-header-3521\" data-sptoggle=\"spcollapse\" data-sptarget=\"#collapse3521\" aria-controls=\"collapse3521\" href=\"javascript:void(0)\"  aria-expanded=\"false\" tabindex=\"0\"><i class=\"ea-expand-icon ea-icon-expand-plus\"><\/i> Who can participate by supporting financially?<\/a><\/h3><div class=\"sp-collapse spcollapse spcollapse\" id=\"collapse3521\" data-parent=\"#sp-ea-352\" role=\"region\" aria-labelledby=\"ea-header-3521\"><div class=\"ea-body\"><p>Supporters - or Partner Institutions - are those who donate funds to the Together for Health Program. Supporters can be: companies, social organizations, philanthropists who wish to support the health cause. The minimum donation amount is BRL1 million, which means, in the matchfunding logic adopted by the Program, support for projects of BRL 2 million (for every 1 real donated by Partner Institutions, BNDES puts in an additional 1 real).<\/p>\n<p>Potential supporters can learn about some of the health projects suggested by the Program at \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/juntospelasaude.org.br\/en\/take-part\/i-want-to-support-health-projects\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">I want to support health projects<\/a>\u201d or by e-mail <u>juntospelasaude@idis.org.br<\/u> indicating projects they would like to support that are not on the Program\u2019s website. Projects nominated by potential supporters will go through the Expert Committee to verify whether they meet the Initiative's minimum requirements to provide support within the scope of the Initiative. Subsequently, they will be forwarded to the Validation Committee for acceptance or rejection.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"ea-card  sp-ea-single\"><h3 class=\"ea-header\"><a class=\"collapsed\" id=\"ea-header-3522\" data-sptoggle=\"spcollapse\" data-sptarget=\"#collapse3522\" aria-controls=\"collapse3522\" href=\"javascript:void(0)\"  aria-expanded=\"false\" tabindex=\"0\"><i class=\"ea-expand-icon ea-icon-expand-plus\"><\/i> Who can participate by receiving funds?<\/a><\/h3><div class=\"sp-collapse spcollapse spcollapse\" id=\"collapse3522\" data-parent=\"#sp-ea-352\" role=\"region\" aria-labelledby=\"ea-header-3522\"><div class=\"ea-body\"><p>The entities that can receive funds from the Program are: private non-profit organizations (Philanthropic Health Units, for example) or public bodies, except the Federal Government or entities linked to it and that do not depend on budgetary transfers from the Union for their maintenance.<\/p>\n<p>The health projects presented must be aligned with the premises of Together for Health (such as concentrating its operations in the N and NE regions of the country), and will be submitted for approval by the Validation Committee, made up of members of the BNDES and other supporters of Together for Health.<\/p>\n<p>Potential executors must follow the notices open <a href=\"https:\/\/juntospelasaude.org.br\/en\/notices\/active-notices\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><u>here<\/u><\/a> and register their projects, always paying attention to the selection requirements, as well as contacting by the e-mail <u>juntospelasaude@idis.org.br<\/u> in case they are interested in recommending the implementation of a specific health project.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"ea-card  sp-ea-single\"><h3 class=\"ea-header\"><a class=\"collapsed\" id=\"ea-header-3523\" data-sptoggle=\"spcollapse\" data-sptarget=\"#collapse3523\" aria-controls=\"collapse3523\" href=\"javascript:void(0)\"  aria-expanded=\"false\" tabindex=\"0\"><i class=\"ea-expand-icon ea-icon-expand-plus\"><\/i> Who participates in the decision-making bodies of Together for Health?<\/a><\/h3><div class=\"sp-collapse spcollapse spcollapse\" id=\"collapse3523\" data-parent=\"#sp-ea-352\" role=\"region\" aria-labelledby=\"ea-header-3523\"><div class=\"ea-body\"><p>The Program has a Validation Committee, which represents the deliberative authority of the initiative.
